FIP clinical signs and laboratory abnormalities

Non-specific clinical signs:
Chronic fluctuating and unresponsive to antibiotics fever
Unexplained lethargy
Anorexia
Weight loss

Effusion signs
Abdomen distension caused by fluids
Dyspnea due to pleural effusion
Scrotal swelling
Muffled heart sounds due to pericardial effusion
Labored breathing

Organ specific signs
Enlarged, firm (irregular) kidneys
Splenomegaly
Pancreatitis
Icterus and hepatomegaly
Abdominal disease
Intestinal pyogranulomatous mass
Omental adhesion and mass
Mesenteric lymphadenopathy

Neurological signs (multifocal and progressive)
Uveitis 
Pyogranulomatous interstitial pneumonia
Testicular enlargement 

Laboratory abnormalities
Anemia (non-regenerative)
Elevated serum protein (hyperglobulinemia)
Elevated serum liver enzymes and bilirubin 
Neutrophilic leukocytosis or leukopenia
Lymphopenia
Azotemia of primary renal origin
Proteinuria of renal origin
Pyogranulomatous or fibrinous body cavity effusion
Elevated CSF protein and leukocytes (neutrophils)
